Chhoti Si Zindagi — later renamed Ek Nayi Chhoti Si Zindagi — (International Title: Silver Lining) was an Indian television series that aired on Zee TV. It was based on the lives of two orphan sisters, Isha and Ira. Chhoti Si Asha; Bandhobi: (2010) The telefim was about two college friends (roles played by Churni Ganguly and Chandreyi Ghosh). While Ira hates Isha and warns Samarth to never take her name in front of her, Samarth's only wish is to reunite the sisters. He remembers Isha and the sacrifice Isha made to give Ira a life that Isha never could. He also misses her as a friend and decides to find her. He posts an ad on the newspaper hoping Isha would see it and come to meet him in Dharampur. Isha is elated when she sees this ad, and decides to ask Laila, her boss, for a three-day leave.

He wants two little cute girls so he can take them to his centre in America. Devki wants to sell Ira and Chutki to the foreigner. Isha is shocked and tells Arjun, Vrinda and Tinnu. Whe Devki is handing over Ira and Chutki to the foreigner, Chetna, the owner of the orphanage, arrives theee. Terrified, Devki kicks the foreigner out immediately. Initially the children think that Chetna has come to buy one of the kids but they soon find out the truth. Chetna is really nice to all the children, gives them new clothes, good food, and new toys.

The orphanage catches fire. Isha, realising that Ira is still inside the orphanage, runs in to save her. Isha is in dilemma as she sees both Ira and Kuhu in danger. As she sees Sam running towards Ira to save her, she saves Kuhu.

Thakur, Fatima, and Isha try to take care of Tinnu but their efforts are in vain. Isha collects money and the kids help her. Vrinda also offers help, as an attempt to prove she is better than Isha.

She assigns Isha, Tinnu and Sam to take care of the baby. Sam and Tinnu try to get along but they still fight.

(July 2015) () The story portrays the lives of two orphan girls, Isha & Ira who do not give up despite facing many hardships in life. Their mother died, their father ruthlessly abandoned them, and they are left to fend for themselves. Their father had to give them up because he got remarried. He sent them to an orphanage run by Devki and her brother Bhola. Initially, the other children at the orphanage dislike Isha and Ira, because the sisters escaped the orphanage causing Devki to punish the other children. Realising that life outside the orphanage is much harder, Isha and Ira returned to the orphanage.

The doctor comes and cures Tinnu. Devki degrades Vrinda while teasing her by announcing Isha is the new leader among the kids, thus replacing Vrinda for the same, causing Vrinda to hate her more. Arjun disguises a famous businessman who wants to adopt Vrinda. He talks to Vrinda alone and they both confess their love to each other. Bhola finds out that that man was Arjun and tells Devki. Isha warns Vrinda about it and Arjun leaves, she covers up the ordeal. Devki tells her men to check all of Vrinda's belongings.

As a result, Isha's punishment is reduced, and Chetna tells her to stay at Revati's house and teach Kuhu Hindi and Mathematics. Revati finds out from Kuhu that while Isha was teaching Kuhu Hindi, Sam put the phone on speaker mode, while Ira was on the other side,so Isha could tell her a story.

Samarth lies to Isha that Ira is spending her vacation outside India in Europe and will not be back before a month's time. He hopes to use this time to convert Ira's hatred for Isha into love, but in vain. Isha finds out that Samarth was lying to her and plans to break up with him. Samarth tells Isha that her sister Ira is none other than her best friend, kajal. He tells Isha about Ira's hatred towards her past, especially Isha.

Krishna is a mature pretty women, who understands the good and bad, who has seen the society and faced its rules but despite of that she is in Love with Anand, who is already married to a women called Bhumika, who loves him a lot but they are on the verge of departing because of some conflict. I don’t ignore the existence of feelings for Krishna in Aditya’s heart, who is getting married with Krishna but that doesn’t come true and he accepts it as the part of the life. And, I can’t miss Irphan’s role in this serial, the one who first sensed the growing relationship between Krishna and Anand, who is so humorous, finds a way for the smile to come despite of the jerks in the life. To depict the story of the serial here in so short is not possible so hereby I move on to the next in my list.

As Chetna recovers, Girish and Revati attempt to convince Chetna to sell the orphanage, but in vain. Revati has a lot hatred for the orphanage, and the kids, especially Isha, and looks for ways to make Chetna dislike them. One day, Arjun's mother angrily confronts Chetna claiming that she caught a girl from the orphanage of the same height as Isha, giving Arjun a love letter.

The film was directed by Kaushik Ganguly. In the film, she played the role of a single mother— Medha. Medha was an ex-flame of Subhankar, who became pregnant after a rendezvous with him. Many years later, when she learns that she is suffering from cancer, she goes to Subhankar, (who was married to another woman at that time) and asks to take responsibility of Megh. Though the acting of Ganguly in this film was widely appreciated, it did not get commercial success.

Revati who is planning out ways to separate Isha and Samarth, is confronted by Ira. Ira tells Revati that she still hates Isha and only forgave her so that she can get closer to making Isha's life miserable. Isha and Sam are to be married and Ira and Revati conjure many plans to stop the wedding. Isha finds out that Ira still hates her and has teamed up with Revati to prevent her marriage with Samarth. After confronting Ira, and realising her guess was true, Isha promises Ira that she will get Ira married to Samarth at any cost.

The film was a travelogue and narrated a story of a journey with nine passengers. Ganguly played the character of Miss Ganguly, a sophisticated writer. Injection scenes in tv serials. But in the film, her fellow passengers used to call her 'Miss Gombhir'. In 2009, Ganguly acted in, directed by Suvamoy Chattopadhyay. The budget of the film was ₹900,000 (US$13,000). In the 2010 film, Ganguly played the character of Rani/Gopa. In this film, and acted in lead roles and the film revolved around a homosexual relationship.
