Selected Ambient Works Volume II is the second studio album by English electronic musician Aphex Twin, released by Warp on 7 March 1994. Billed as a follow-up to Selected Ambient Works 85–92, the album differs in sound by being largely beatless ambient music. James has claimed that the album was inspired by lucid dreaming.

There is a warmth and personality in this recording that pushes it beyond standard ambient. The mysterious artwork, the fragmented photographs and symbols, and the lack of official song titles invite the listener to create his or her own impression and interpretation. It's 20 years old now and I believe it stands the test of time. There is little to add beyond personal reflection of this album; many (most?) listeners instantly establish an inexpressible rapport with the music, and I am no different.

Is a more difficult and challenging album than 's previous collection. The music is all texture; there are only the faintest traces of beats and forward movement. Instead, all of these untitled tracks are long, unsettling electronic soundscapes, alternately quiet and confrontational; although most of the music is rather subdued, it is never easy listening. While some listeners may find this double-disc album dull (both discs run over 70 minutes), many listeners will be intrigued and fascinated by the intricately detailed music of.

Chhoti si asha serial wiki. There's a palpable sense of unease throughout the recording, designed to make you feel comfortable but not entirely comfortable. We hear very little percussion on the album so most of it just kind of floats.

Usually, I am way behind the curve on new music but there I was, in 1994, in a record store in Northampton, Massachusetts, buying this CD with my hard-earned money, which, to put it mildly was very miniscule at the time. It then proceeded to blow my mind. So why is this album one of my favorite albums of ALL time? Mainly because no album before or since has opened up the possibilities of electronic music for me in the same way that SAW2 did.
